calvin klein goes bullshit marketing

german pr agency goes for calvin klein and pisses off the german blogosphere – client .

five fake bloggers tried to infiltrate the german blogosphere with comments in popular weblogs, linking to their fake blogs and myspace profiles. the intention was to promote a new perfume by calvin klein. it fired back and the blogosphere is pissed, feels misused for dishonest marketing purposes. and to say it in the words of thomas zorbach, – this is bullshit marketing:

“the term bullshit marketing summarizes methods where customers are not treated as empowered, smart and connected individuals, but as a dumb mass of idiots.”
