A vision into the future of wearables by Zepp Health (formerly Huami)

In 2016 we envisioned, wrote and produced 3 short films in collaboration with the directing duo Plummer/Strauss providing a glimpse into the potential future of wearable technology. The idea of thin and lightweight sensors being woven into the fabric of everyday clothing to monitor vitals, breathing, electrocardiogram (ECG), oxygen saturation, muscle movement, sleep, and more combined with smart bracelets and/or AR and VR glasses. “Spaces” focuses on a smart home environment with personal pre-programmed routines like switching on your favorite wake-up music, making coffee, setting the AC to your preferred temperature and using wearable tech / biometrics to lock / unlock doors, cars, office and computer access. “Checking In” showcases smart textiles to measure and monitor vitals – with a story twist at the end. “Working Late” depicts a scenario where a smart bracelet in combination with AR/VR glasses capturing gestures in 3D space and muscle movement plus a AR/VR display for a convenient and efficient work environment wherever you are – drawing inspiration from your environment. All 3 videos were shot over the course of two 12+ hours days at various locations in Los Angeles, CA.
